Amotekun launches Ember month patrol in Ondo

The Ondo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun has launched a 24-hour patrol to secure lives and properties in the state during the ember months.

The Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading 12 suspected criminals at the Corps’ headquarters in Akure.

According to Adeleye, the ember months special operations was launched to chcekmate criminal activities as influx of more people are now noticed in Ondo state.

He said some suspected ritualists, kidnappers and armed robbers were arrested in the last few weeks.

The Amotekun Corps also paraded a 25-year-old Quack nurse, Jimoh Akeem, for allegedly stealing a motorbike, popularly known as an okada, in Ondo town.

In his confession, the suspect Akeem admitted he had been involved in stealing of Okada for sometimes and sold them to a buyer in Ogun state.
