Nigerian hurdler and world record holder Tobi Amusan stormed to victory in the women’s 100 meters hurdles at the Diamond League meet in Rabat, Morocco, clocking an impressive 12.45 seconds.

Kolade Otunla, representing Ogun, may have shattered the National Sports Festival record in the men’s 100m backstroke event.

Thirteen-year-old Michelle Ibidapo, a student of The Grange School, Ikeja, representing Team Oyo, has claimed the gold medal in the women’s 1,500m freestyle event at the ongoing Ogun 2024 National Sports Festival.

Ogun State government, on Tuesday, assured athletes participating in the National Sports Festival holding in Abeokuta, as well as the residents of the state, of their safety, following a diesel tanker explosion near Alake's Sports Complex, one of the facilities used for the ongoing Sports Festival.
