Fayemi names Governing Council members for new Ekiti varsity
Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has approved the appointment of members of the Governing Council of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education, Science and Technology, Ikere Ekiti (BOUESTI).
The National University Commission (NUC) had on November 6th, 2020 issued the letter of recognition as the 47th state university and 171st university in the country.
The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olayinka Oyebode, announced the development in a statement on Friday.
Oyebode’s statement contained the names of the Chancellor, Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council and members.
While respected Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief Wole Olanipekun, is the Chancellor, Chief Afolabi Ojuawo emerged the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council.
Members of the Council are Prof. Kola Oladunjoye, S. I. Folorunso, Otunba Kunle Ajayi, Jumoke Adamolekun, Chief Moni Afuye, Dr. Segun Aina and Dr. Adelana Adeleye-Olusae.
Oyebode said the appointments take immediate effect.
