Two die in lone auto crash on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

Two persons lost their lives in a fatal road crash along the Isara-Remo/Erimobi Bridge Area of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday.

The spokesperson of Ogun Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), Mr Akinbiyi Babatunde in a statement quoted eyewitnesses as confirming that the accident which involved a Suzuki Every bus with Registration Number KRD 194 JW that hit a broken-down vehicle on the road due to excessive speeding.

Adebiyi said TRACE rescue team and a member of the public responded to the incident, and the corpses were deposited at the State General Hospital, Isara Remo.

The accidented vehicle has been towed to Papa Oscar cage in Isara-Remo Police Station for further investigation.

Adebiyi added that traffic was not affected during the rescue operation, and the road is enjoying a free flow of traffic.
