UI resumes January 18, cancels 2019/2020 academic session
The Senate of the University of Ibadan (UI) has approved the reopening of the institution on January 18, 2021 for academic activities.
This was part of resolutions reached at a meeting of the school’s management held on Thursday.
At the completion of the aborted 2018/2019 session by February, there will be a three weeks holiday followed by the resumption of the 2020/2021 session.
Monday’s resumption will herald faculty boards’ meetings for assessment and consideration of students’ results and completion of the examination for those yet to.
It was also gathered that the University has cancelled the 2019/2020 academic session which means that the new session will commence on February 22.
Recall that academic activities has been suspended since March when the Academic Staff Union of Universities declared an indefinite strike.
