2023: VP Osinbajo visits Olubadan

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on Friday paid homage to the 42nd Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Olalekan Balogun at his Alarere palace.

Addressing the Monarch, Professor Osinbajo said he embarked on the visit to the monarch to intimate him about his intention to contest the 2023 presidential election.

In his response, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Mohood Balogun gave his royal blessings to the ambition of the vice president.

In an interview, the Oyo State APC chairman, Mr Isaac Omodewu, said after the coronation of the Olubadan, the Vice President considered it needful to meet the Olubadan before addressing APC delegates at the civic centre.

At the civic centre, APC delegates stormed the venue to honour the vice president.

Some of those who are at the meeting are Teslim Folarin, the senator representing Oyo Central; Niyi Akintola, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria; Babafemi Ojudu, the Special Adviser to the President on Political Matters among other party faithful’s.
