COVID-19: Nigeria records 1,301 new cases, total now 113,305
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 1,301 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 113,305.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Twitter handle on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 1,261 Coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 15 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,464.
The 1301 new cases are reported from 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos topped the days’ infection chart with 551 new cases followed by FCT -209.
Other states with new cases include Oyo -83, Plateau -65, Kaduna -64, Enugu -61, Rivers 44, Ondo -39, Benue -37, Akwa Ibom -31, Kano -19, Delta -18, Gombe -18, Ogun -16, Edo -15, Kebbi -10, Ebonyi -9, Jigawa -4, Osun -3, Zamfara -3, Borno -1 and Nasarawa -1.
Till date, 113,305 cases have been confirmed, 91,200 cases have been discharged and 1,464 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
