COVID-19: Nigeria records 103 new cases, as total hits 59,841
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 103 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 59,841.
The health agency (NCDC) disclosed this in a tweet on Thursday night.
Data from the NCDC shows that 148 patients were successfully treated and discharged on Thursday after recovering from the coronavirus.
The 103 new cases are reported from 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the nation recorded 39 new cases followed by Rivers -21 and FCT -19.
Other states with new infections include Oyo -6 Kaduna -4, Bauchi -3, Ogun -3, Imo -2, Kano -2, Benue -1, Edo -1, Nasarawa -1 and Plateau -1
Till date, 59,841 cases have been confirmed, 51,551 cases have been discharged and 1,113 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
