COVID-19: Nigeria records 11 new cases, total now 167,543

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 11 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 167,543.

The NCDC disclosed this via its official facebook page on Tuesday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 1 coronavirus patient was successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,120.

The 11 new cases are reported from 5 states of the federation.

Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 3 new cases followed by Oyo-3, Plateau-2, Rivers-2 and Ogun-1

Till date, 167, 543 cases have been confirmed, 163, 985 cases have been discharged and 2,120 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
