COVID-19: Nigeria records 110 new cases, total now 214,092

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 110 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 214,092.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday.    

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 70 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 1 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nations death toll from the virus to 2,976. 

The 110 new cases are reported from 11 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Imo topped the day’s infections chart with 27 new cases followed by Katsina -23 and Rivers -20.

Other states with new cases include Ondo-11, Kaduna-9, FCT-6, Oyo-6, Plateau-3, Osun-2, Ekiti-1, Gombe-1 and Zamfara-1.

Till date, 214,092 cases have been confirmed 207,254 cases have been discharged and 2,976 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
