COVID-19: Nigeria records 111 new cases, total infections now 57,724

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 111 new cases of COVID-19 bringing total number of infections in the country to 57,724.

The health agency (NCDC) disclosed this via its official twitter handle on Wednesday.

Data from the NCDC shows that 2 COVID-19 related deaths were recorded while 149 persons were successfully treated and discharged after recovering from the virus.

The 111 new cases are reported from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos recorded 31 new cases followed by Gombe with18, Kaduna -18, FCT -15 and Rivers -14.

Other states with new infections include Imo -3, Kwara -3, Oyo -3, Bayelsa -2, Ogun -2, Edo -1 and Osun -1.

Till date, 57724 cases have been confirmed, 48985 cases have been discharged and 1102 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
