COVID-19: Nigeria records 118 new cases, total now 254,777

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 118 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,777.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Tuesday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 3 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 118 new cases were reported from 2 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT topped the day’s infections chart with 68 new cases followed by Lagos -49 and Rivers -1.

Till date, 254,777 have been confirmed 249,209 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
