COVID-19: Nigeria records 12 new cases, total now 255,001

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 12 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 255,001.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 1 coronavirus patient was successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 12 new cases were reported from 4 states of the federation.      

Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 5 new cases followed by Delta -3, Rivers-3 and Oyo-1 .

Till date, 254,001 have been confirmed 249,373 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
