COVID-19: Nigeria records 125 new cases, as total hits 57,849
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday announced 125 new cases of COVID-19 infections, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 57,849.
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 113 patients were successfully treated and discharged after recovering from the virus on Thursday.
The 125 new cases are reported from 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epic centre of the virus in Nigeria recorded 37 new infections followed by Plateau with 18 new cases, FCT -17 and Ogun -15.
Other states with new cases include Rivers -10, Benue -7, Kaduna -7, Anambra -5, Oyo -3, Cross River -2, Ondo -2, Edo -1 and Imo -1.
“Till date, 57,849 cases have been confirmed, 49,098 cases have been discharged and 1,102 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
