COVID-19: Nigeria records 126 new cases, total now 59,127
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 126 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 59,127.
The health agency (NCDC) made this via its official twitter handle.
Data from the NCDC shows that 141 patients were successfully treated and discharged after recovering from the virus on Friday.
The 126 new cases are reported from 11 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epic centre of the virus in Nigeria reported 62 new infections followed by Rivers -22.
Other states with new cases include Ogun -9, Plateau -7, FCT -7, Osun -5, Kwara -5, Taraba -3, Bayelsa -2, Abia -2, Zamfara -1, Imo -1
Till date, 59,127 cases have been confirmed, 50,593 cases have been discharged and 1,112 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
