COVID-19: Nigeria records 129 new cases, total now 213,076
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 129 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,076.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Friday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 483 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 16 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,949.
The 129 new cases are reported from 10 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Katsina topped the day’s infections chart with 53 new cases followed by Kwara with 32 infections
Other states with new cases include Osun-8, Plateau-8, Rivers-6, Kaduna-6, FCT-5, Kano-5, Oyo-4, Jigawa-1 and Bauchi-1.
Till date, 213,076 cases have been confirmed 205,483 cases have been discharged and 2,949 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
