COVID-19: Nigeria records 138 new cases, total now 206,064

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 138 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 206,064.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 95 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.

The 138 new cases are reported from 6 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The Federal Capital Territory topped the day’s infections chart with51 new cases followed by Anambra-28 and Lagos-24.

Other states with new cases include, Benue-18, Plateau-9, Kaduna-7 and Jigawa-1

Till date, 206,064 cases have been confirmed, 193,893 cases have been discharged and 2,723 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
