COVID-19: Nigeria records 141 new cases, total now 206,279

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 141 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 206,279.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 70 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result with no new death recorded in the last three days across the country.

The 141 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation.

Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 33 new cases followed by Gombe -32, Lagos -29 and Imo -25.

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 36 new cases followed by Edo -11.

Other states with new cases include, Plateau-9, Benue-5, Borno-4, Kano-3 and Delta-1

Till date, 206, 279 cases have been confirmed, 194,167 cases have been discharged and 2,723 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
