COVID-19: Nigeria records 141 new cases, total now 213,818
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 141 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,818.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Wednesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 219 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 141 new cases are reported from 11 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country topped the day’s infections chart with 46 new cases followed by Benue -44, FCT -15 and Kastina -12.
Other states with new cases include Bauchi -9, Kano -4, Delta -3, Enugu -2, Kwara -2, Rivers -2, Gombe -1 and Plateau -1
Till date, 213,818 cases have been confirmed 207,016 cases have been discharged and 2,974 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
