COVID-19: Nigeria records 148 new cases, as total infections hit 60,982
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday announced 148 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 bringing total number of infections in the country to 60,982.
Data from the health agency shows that 51 patients were successfully treated and discharged on Thursday after recovering from the novel coronavirus.
The 148 new cases are reported from 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory. (FCT)
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the nation recorded 66 new infections followed by FCT -25, Oyo -13 and Plateau -11.
Other states with new cases include Kaduna -7, Rivers -6, Ebonyi -5, Ekiti -4, Ogun -4, Imo -2, Ondo -2, Edo -1, Nasarawa -1, Taraba -1
Till date, 60,982 cases have been confirmed, 52,194 cases have been discharged and 1,116 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
