COVID-19: Nigeria records 152 new cases, total now 64,336

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 152 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 64,336.

The NCDC disclose this via its verified twitter handle on Tuesday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 264 patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation while 2 new deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll to 1,160.

The 152 new cases are reported from 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the nation recorded 93 new infections followed by FCT -21, Oyo -15, Rivers -11, Bauchi -7, Kwara -2, Bayelsa -1, Edo -1 and Plateau -1.

Till date, 64,336 cases have been confirmed, 60,333 cases have been discharged and 1,160 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
