COVID-19: Nigeria records 155 new cases, total now 59,738
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday confirmed 155 new cases of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing total number of infections in the country to 59,738.
Data from the health agency shows that 95 patients were discharged on Wednesday after recovering from the coronavirus.
The 155 new cases are reported from 7 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epic centre of the virus in the nation recorded 84 new cases followed by Rivers with 31 new infections.
Other states with new infections include Kaduna -12, Osun -10, FCT -7, Oyo -6, Ogun -3 and Kwara -2.
Till date, 59,738 cases have been confirmed, 51,403 cases have been discharged and 1,113 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
