COVID-19: Nigeria records 155 new cases, total now 63,328

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 155 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 63,328.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Wednesday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 41 patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation while four (4) fatalities were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll to 1,155. 

The 155 new cases are reported from 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country continues to lead the daily infections chart with 85 new cases followed by FCT -23 and Ondo -18.

Other states with new cases include Ogun -8, Kaduna -5, Oyo -5, Taraba -5, Kano -3, Rivers -2 and Bauchi -1.

Till date, 63,328 cases have been confirmed, 59,675 cases have been discharged and 1,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
