COVID-19: Nigeria records 164 new cases, total now 60,430

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Monday confirmed 164 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 60,430.  

The health agency (NCDC) made this known via its official twitter handle.

Data from the NCDC shows that 208 patients were discharged after recovering from the virus on Monday.

The 164 new cases are reported from 14 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epic centre of the virus in the nation reported 64 new infections followed by FCT -26 and Enugu -20.

Other states with new cases include Kaduna -11, Oyo -11, Plateau -8, Ondo -7, Anambra -4, Nasarawa -3, Osun -3, Ebonyi -2, Imo -2, Benue -1, Katsina -1, Ogun -1.

Till date, 60,430 cases have been confirmed, 51,943 cases have been discharged and 1,115 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
