COVID-19: Nigeria records 165 new cases, total now 210,460

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 165 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 210,460.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 4,188 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 26 new COVID-19 related death were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,882.

The 165 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 77 new infections followed by FCT 43 and Rivers -22.

Other states with new cases include Oyo-10, Osun-6, Bayelsa-2, Edo-2, Kaduna-1, Kano-1 and Ogun-1.

Till date, 210,460 cases have been confirmed 202,379 cases have been discharged and 2,882 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
