COVID-19: Nigeria records 168 new cases, total now 66,607
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 168 new COVID -19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 66,607.
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 70 Coronavirus patients were successful treated and discharged from the virus treatment centers while 1 new death was recorded in the country increasing the nation's death toll to 1,169
The 168 new cases are reported from 9 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
FCT led the day's infections chart with 61 new cases followed by Lagos -50 and Kaduna -27.
Other states with new cases include Oyo -12, Rivers -6, Katsina -5, Ogun -3,Kwara -2, Edo -1 and Kano -1.
Till date, 66,607 cases have been confirmed, 62,311 cases have been discharged and 1,169 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
