COVID-19: Nigeria records 175 new cases, total now 208,153
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 175 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 208,153.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Tuesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 310 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 175 new cases are reported from 10 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
FCT topped the day’s infections chart with 73 new cases followed by Lagos -34.
Other states with new cases include Rivers-15, Gombe-13, Kano-10, Plateau-8, Katsina-6, Bauchi-5, Delta-5, Benue-4 and Nasarawa-2.
Till date, 208,153 cases have been confirmed, 195,936 cases have been discharged and 2,756 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
