COVID-19: Nigeria records 180 new cases, total infections now 64,516
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 180 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 64,516.
The NCDC disclose this in a post via its verified twitter handle on Wednesday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 404 patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation while 2 new deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll to 1,162.
The 180 new cases are reported from 8 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria recorded 74 new infections followed by Oyo -41, FCT -19, Kaduna -19 and Bauchi -12.
Till date, 64,516 cases have been confirmed, 60,737 cases have been discharged and 1,162 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
