COVID-19: Nigeria records 182 new cases, total now 211,678

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 182 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 211,678.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Thursday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 45 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 6 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,892.

The 182 new cases are reported from 14 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Taraba topped the day’s infections chart with 38 new cases followed by Lagos-27, Zamfara-25 and Benue-21.

Other states with new cases include FCT-17, Gombe-13, Kaduna-12, Plateau-12, Jigawa-5, Kano-3, Rivers-3, Abia-2, Edo-2, Bauchi-1 and Bayelsa-1.

Till date, 211, 678 cases have been confirmed 202, 930 cases have been discharged and 2,892 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
