COVID-19: Nigeria records 2 new cases, total now 254,659

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 2 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,659.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 7 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 2 new cases were reported from 2 states of the federation.

Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 1 new case followed by Rivers -1.

Till date, 254,659 have been confirmed 249,206 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
