COVID-19: Nigeria records 20 new cases, total now 213,147
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 20 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,147.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 241 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 8 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,968.
The 20 new cases are reported from 3 states of the federation and Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Kaduna topped the day’s infections chart with 9 new cases followed Katsina-4, Lagos-4 and FCT-3.
Till date, 213,147 cases have been confirmed 205,732 cases have been discharged and 2,968 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
