COVID-19: Nigeria records 22 new cases, total now 255,670
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 22 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 255,670.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 32 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 22 new cases were reported from 3 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 10 new infections followed by Nasarawa -6.
Other states with new cases include FCT -3 and Rivers -3.
Till date, 255,670 have been confirmed 249,879 cases have been discharged and 3,143 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
