COVID-19: Nigeria records 23 new cases, total now 213,487
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 23 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 213,487.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Friday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 9 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 23 new cases are reported from 5 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory.
Plateau topped the day’s infections chart with 9 new cases followed by FCT -6.
Other states with new cases include Bauchi-3, Sokoto-3, Kaduna-1 and Kano-1
Till date, 213,487 cases have been confirmed 206,301 cases have been discharged and 2,973 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
