COVID-19: Nigeria records 240 new cases, total now 155,657
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has recorded 240 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 155,657
The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 585 Coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,907.
The 240 new cases are reported from 13 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Anambra topped the day’s infections chart with 85 new cases followed by Lagos – 82.
Other states with new cases include Osun -17, Ogun -10, Kwara -9, FCT -8, Kano -7, Abia -6, Ekiti -5, Borno -4, Edo -2, Bayelsa -2 Kaduna -2 and Rivers -1.
Till date, 155,657 cases have been confirmed, 133,768 cases have been discharged and 1,907 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
