COVID-19: Nigeria records 241 new cases, total now 252,428

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 241 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 252,482.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 596 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 3,126

The 241 new cases are reported from 8 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Taraba topped he days’ infections chart with 98 followed by Rivers -66 and Lagos -35.

Other states with new cases include FCT -20, Delta -13, Kwara -3, Abia -2, Nasarawa -2 and Plateau -2.

Till date, 252,428 have been confirmed 227,004 cases have been discharged and 3,126 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
