COVID-19: Nigeria records 250 new cases, total now 53,727

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Saturday announced 250 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the nation’s confirmed infections to 53,727.

The health agency disclosed that zero death was recorded for the second running in the country.

The 250 new cases were reported from 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

Plateau state recorded the highest number of new cases -69 followed by FCT -41 and Lagos -21.

Other states with new cases were: Delta -14, Kaduna -14, Bayelsa -13, Enugu -13, Ekiti -11, Bauchi -9, Ogun -8, Edo -7, Oyo -7, Rivers -6, Adamawa -4, Osun -4, Nasarawa -3, Ebonyi -2, Kwara -2, Gombe -1 and Imo -1

Till date, 53727 cases have been confirmed, 41314 cases have been discharged and 1011 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
