COVID-19: Nigeria records 267 new cases, total now 250,628
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 267 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 250,628.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 270 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 3 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 3,095.
The 267 new cases are reported from 9 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Delta topped the days’ infections chart with 160 new cases followed by Osun -27 and FCT -22.
Other states with new cases include Gombe-17, Cross River-16, Enugu-13, Rivers-6, Ekiti-4, Kaduna-1 and Kano -1.
Till date, 250,628 have been confirmed 223,765 cases have been discharged and 3,095 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
