COVID-19: Nigeria records 29 new cases, total now 165,807

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 29 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 165,807.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Tuesday

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 5 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.

The 29 new cases are reported from 2 states of the federation.

Lagos the epicenter of the virus in Nigeria reported 18 new cases followed by Rivers 11.

Till date, 165,807 cases have been confirmed, 156,420 cases have been discharged and 2,067 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
