COVID-19: Nigeria records 29 new cases, total now 251,959
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 29 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 251,959.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 40 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 29 new cases are reported from 3 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 27 new cases.
Other states with new cases include Kano -1 and Rivers -1
Till date, 251,959 have been confirmed 225, 946 cases have been discharged and 3,124 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
