COVID-19: Nigeria records 300 new cases, as total exceed 64,000
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 300 new cases of COVID-19, bringing total number of infections in the country to 64,090.
The NCDC made this know via its verified twitter handle on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 26 patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres across the nation bringing total number of discharged patients to 59,910.
The 300 new cases are reported from 5 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in Nigeria recorded 255 new infections followed by FCT -27.
Other states with new cases include Oyo -10, Kaduna -5, Ondo -2 and Kano -1.
Till date, 64,090 cases have been confirmed, 59,910 cases have been discharged and 1,154 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
