COVID-19: Nigeria records 304 new cases, total now 185,571

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 304 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 185,571.

The NCDC disclosed this via its official facebook page on Friday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 201 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 3 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,247.

The 304 new cases are reported from 12 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 154 new cases followed by Ekiti-33 and Edo-20.

Other states with new cases include FCT-18, Oyo-17, Cross River-15, Delta-15, Akwa Ibom-13, Ogun-11, Bayelsa-4, Sokoto-2, Gombe-1 and Nasarawa-1.

Till date, 185,571 cases have been confirmed, 168,124 cases have been discharged and 2,247 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
