COVID-19: Nigeria records 31 new cases, total now 254,637
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 31 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,637.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Friday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 6 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.
The 31 new cases were reported from 4 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 17 new infections followed by Rivers -6.
Other states with new cases include FCT -5, Kano -2 and Delta -1.
Till date, 254,637 have been confirmed 249,160 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
