COVID-19: Nigeria records 35 new cases, total now 254,560

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 35 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,560

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 66 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result.  

The 35 new cases are reported from 7 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Rivers topped the day’s infections chart with 14 new cases followed by Imo -6.

Other states with new cases include Lagos -4, FCT -3, Kwara -3, Bayelsa -2, Plateau -2, Akwa Ibom -1.

Till date, 254,560 have been confirmed 249,079 cases have been discharged and 3,142 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
