COVID-19: Nigeria records 360 new cases, total now 156,017

The Nigeria Centre for Disease (NCDC) has recorded 360 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 156,017.

The NCDC made this known via its official twitter handle on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 136 Coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 8 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 1,915.

The 360 new cases are reported from 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicenter of the virus in the country recorded 120 new infections followed by Edo -38, Kaduna -25, FCT -23 and Imo -23.

Other states with new cases include Delta -19, Akwa Ibom -17,Plateau -17 Rivers -16, Nasarawa -15, Kwara -13, Oyo -9, Ogun -8, Bauchi -4, Osun -4, Kano -3, Kebbi -3, Niger -2 and Katsina -1.

Till date, 156,017 cases have been confirmed, 133,904 cases have been discharged and 1,915 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
