COVID-19: Nigeria records 362 new cases, total now 191,345
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 362 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 191,345.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Sunday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 236 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 93 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,454.
The 362 new cases are reported from 14 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 200 new infections followed by Oyo-33, Kwara-30, and Akwa Ibom-24.
Other states with new cases include Ogun-17, Delta-15, Ekiti-15, Plateau-7, Rivers-7, FCT-5, Anambra-3, Edo-3, Bayelsa-1, Kaduna-1 and Kano-1.
Till date, 191,345 cases have been confirmed, 178, 283 cases have been discharged and 2,454 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
