COVID-19: Nigeria records 37 new cases, total now 166,098

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC (NCDC) has confirmed 37 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number of infections in the country to 166,098.

The NCDC disclose this via its official twitter handle on Tuesday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment while 4 new COVID-19 related deaths were recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,071.

The 37 new cases are reported from 5 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

 Lagos the epicenter of the virus in the country reported 29 new cases followed by Akwa Ibom -3, FCT -2, Gombe -1, Kaduna -1, and Kano -1.

Till date, 166,098 cases have been confirmed, 156,528 cases have been discharged and 2,071 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
