COVID-19: Nigeria records 373 new cases, as total exceed 48,000

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday confirmed 373 new cases , bringing total number of infections in the country to 48,116.

The health agency (NCDC) disclosed that 10 new deaths were also recorded.  

The 373 new cases are reported from 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)

Lagos recorded the highest number of infections with 69 new cases, followed by Osun -41, Kaduna - 40, Oyo -40 and FCT -35.

Other states with new cases are: Plateau -22, Rivers -19, Kano -17, Ondo -17, Ogun -15, Abia -14, Gombe -12, Imo -9, Enugu -7, Kwara -6, Delta -5, Niger -2, Borno -1, Bauchi -1 and Nasarawa -1.

Till date, 48,116 cases have been confirmed, 34,309 cases have been discharged and 966 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
