COVID-19: Nigeria records 377 new cases, total now 203,081

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 513 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 203,081.

The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Wednesday. 

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 231 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result while 2 new COVID-19 related death was recorded increasing the nation’s death toll from the virus to 2,666.

The 377 new cases are reported from 15 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country reported 70 new infections followed FCT-67, Kaduna-38 and Edo-36.

Other states with new cases include Rivers-28, Delta-23, Kwara-22, Ondo-18, Plateau-17, Oyo-16, Benue-12, Ekiti-10, Gombe-8, Kano-7, Imo-3 and Jigawa-2.

Till date, 203,081 cases have been confirmed, 191,601 cases have been discharged and 2,666 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
