COVID-19: Nigeria records 38 new cases, total now 254,016
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 38 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 254,016.
The NCDC disclosed this via its verified microsite on Saturday.
Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 74 coronavirus patients were successfully treated and discharged from the various treatment centres after receiving their second negative result
The 38 new cases are reported from 7 states of the federation.
Lagos the epicentre of the virus in the country topped the day’s infections chart with 19 new cases followed by Imo -10.
Other states with new cases include Plateau -3, Nasarawa -2, Osun -2, Kaduna -1 and Ogun -1.
Till date, 254,016 have been confirmed 230,397 cases have been discharged and 3,141 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
