COVID-19: Nigeria records 390 new cases, total now 69,645

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 390 new COVID-19 cases, bringing total number of infections in the country to 69,645.

The NCDC made this known via its official website on Monday.

Data from the health agency (NCDC) reveals that 173 coronavirus patients who were successfully treated in some of the isolation centres were discharged after receiving their second negative result while 1 new death was recorded increasing the nation’s death from the virus to 1,181.

The 390 new cases are reported from 19 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

FCT tops the day’s infection chart with 89 new cases followed by Gombe -89, Kaduna -62 and Lagos -35.

Other states with new cases include Kwara -15, Borno -13, Nasarawa -10, Rivers -10, Bauchi -8, Ogun -8, Osun -7, Bayelsa -7, Kano -7, Edo -6, Taraba -6, Ekiti -5, Katsina -5, Akwa Ibom -4, Delta -3 and Sokoto -1.

Till date, 69,645 cases have been confirmed, 64,947 cases have been discharged and 1,181 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
